Enjoy My Delicious, Healthy, and EASY Indian Dish Recipes!
In Curry and Cupcakes — My Silver Lining Cookbook, I have simplified the often-complex process of making delicious Indian food. There are so many spices, so many steps, so many unrecognizable ingredients. Well, not in my cookbook, because once a week, I had to whip a meal together for 50 to 500 people! There was no time for complicated steps. So I created recipes that minimize effort, while maximizing flavor.
I must have done something right, because even Indian guests at the ashram complimented me on my dishes and asked for the recipes. That’s a huge accomplishment — because Indian cooks are some of the best cooks in the world!
My fellow ashram dwellers also loved my cooking — often rushing to the community dining hall at mealtime when I was in the kitchen! Those are among my best memories of my life in a cult.
Here are just a few of the recipes in Curry and Cupcakes — My Silver Lining Cookbook:
- Peas and paneer
- Sumptuous Toor Dal
- Spicy Toor Dal
- Coconut Veggie Curry
- Veggie Curry with Paneer
- Savory Indian Veggie Patties
- Carrot and Peanut Salad
- Tasty Stir-Fried Chickpeas
- Devi-Fried Rice
- Delightful Zucchini Cupcakes (no eggs!)
- Out-of-this-World Peach Cobbler

Curry and Cupcakes — My Silver Lining Cookbook is currently in production. If you pre-order it today, you’ll help support my ability to finish it and get it into the hands of everyone who wants to learn how to make easy, delicious, and healthy Indian food (and my specialty sweets) at home.
I can’t wait to share my recipes and delicious dishes with you — so you can delight your family and friends with vegetarian Indian meals that they’ll love.
This cookbook includes the recipes I created, tested, and improved over the years — delighting hundreds of residents and guests with vegetarian meals such as peas and paneer, a variety of dals, and curries, and my many sweets, like my famous egg-less cheesecake.
I received so many compliments and requests for my recipes over the years that I decided to create this cookbook. What’s more, I experienced so many negative things in the cult, that I want to memorialize the positive aspect of my life there — learning to cook delicious Indian food from the beautiful Indian cooks I met in there in the kitchen.
